Pair Orthodontics opens in Calabasas!!!

February 16th, 2012

Pair Orthodontics is proud to announce that they have a new location in Calabasas, where we share a brand new office with Dr. Elena Rumack, a pediatric dentist.  We are excited about serving Calabasas and the surrounding communities.  Our patients in Northridge and Valencia will be happy to learn that we have not eliminated any office hours so we will be able to serve them at the same convenience while we embark on our Calabasas adventure.  Many might wonder ,’”Why open another office?”  The answer is easy.  Besides being a pediatric dentist, Elena Rumack is married to Dr. Jason’s cousin, William Rumack M.D.  They have wanted to join forces for some time but have waited for the perfect opportunity to arise.  Dr. Rumack teaches in the UCLA Pediatric Dentistry Residency.  Both she and Dr. Jason share that passion for teaching.

The office will be open for orthodontic care every Wednesday until June of 2012, when we will also open every Friday.  Please spread the word to any families from the area.  We sincerely appreciate the confidence expressed by family referrals and we take that responsibility seriously.

The address and phone number for the new office:

23622 Calabasas Rd. #119 (in Calabasas Square next to the Commons)

Dr. Jason has another Case Report published!

August 4th, 2011

In the June issue of the American Journal of Orthodontics, Dr. Jason had a Case Report published entitled, “Transposition of a maxillary canine and a lateral incisor and use of cone-beam computed tomography for treatment planning.”  It describes correction of a very difficult clinical situation: the patient’s left canine developed between the central and lateral incisor – if left unresolved, at best, she would have a lifetime of an uneven smile.  Dr. Jason utilized new 3-dimensional technology to develop a unique treatment plan for resolving the transposition.  If you would like a copy of this case report please feel free to contact the office at any time.

Dr. Jason has a Case Report published!

March 1st, 2011

Dr. Jason has published a Case Report in The Angle Orthodontist, an illustrious peer-reviewed orthodontic journal.  The Case Report demonstrates correction of an unusual problem – on one side the patient’s central incisor tooth bud separated into 2 full teeth (complete gemination).  On the other side they did not separate fully, and instead became one very large tooth.

This case was also chosen for distinction at the Southern California Angle Society orthodontic meeting last February.  This February Dr. Jason will be giving an oral presentation of the case at the meeting.

Dr. Jason takes the UCLA residents to Orthodontic Meeting

November 23rd, 2010

Dr. Jason, along with his co-clinical instructor, Dr. Vacharee Fell, took the UCLA orthodontic residents to the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontics’ meeting in November.  It was a fantastic and rare opportunity to learn from Dr. Dwight Damon, the brilliant clinician behind the Damon philosophy.  Dr. Fell and Dr. Jason teach treatment planning seminars and are clinical instructors 2 Fridays/month at the UCLA Orthodontic residency program, where they teach the residents the Damon philosophy.  In a nutshell, it is a system of treatment that utilizes “light-force” mechanics to maximize the result functionally and esthetically, while minimizing side effects like periodontal problems and root shortening.  If you would like more information check out www.damonbraces.com, or just ask us.
